It is the desire of
Forestgate Presbyterian Church to be good stewards of our
building and to have the building used, as is possible and
practical, by groups within the community. To that end,
our deacons have established a building use policy.
Requests to utilize the
building are considered on a case by case basis by our events
coordinator. Information about the event or activity, date
and time, set-up requirements, number of people involved, will
all be taken into consideration. If the event is feasible
and works with the existing church event schedule, the events
coordinator will quote you an estimated charge for building use
and inform you of the terms of payment and use. Should you
then wish to book your event, your request must then be
approved by the deacons of Forestgate Presbyterian Church.
The deacons reserve the right to deny any request for any reason
and assure that events approved are in harmony with the mission
of Forestgate Presbyterian Church. The events coordinator
is present at all events and preparations (walk through/
decorating) to manage the event concerns and assure
building maintenance & security.
Forestgate
has been pleased to serve the community as a local polling place on election
days, a venue for the Rocky Mountain Music Alliance
concerts, a
class location for
Collegium Study Center, and
frequent workshop location
for the National Association of Mental Illness Family to Family
class series.
Weddings at Forestgate
Presbyterian Church
Weddings at Forestgate are considered to be a spiritual
service of worship and therefore certain additional
qualifications must be met before a wedding is to be approved.
The deacons and session approve the weddings at Forestgate.
The events coordinator also works with wedding couples in the
application, planning and event process and will be able to
quote an estimated charge for use.
For all building use events, it is highly recommended that you
plan your event well in advance in order to accommodate the
approval process. Weddings may be approved more than 6
months in advance and other events may be applied for and
approved within 6 months of the event. Our events
coordinator will be happy to give you more information at the
time of your inquiry regarding the process involved. To
begin that process, you may call the office at any time,
719-495-5672, leaving a message with the office staff or at the
end of the complete phone message. You may also email your
inquiry to
office@forestgate.org.
